Snackin'

SW Favorite Organic Snacks!

It's so important to eat every few hours to keep our bodies fueled & energized (and to ward off hypoglycemic symptoms). And it's equally important to choose our snacks wisely!

If you are snacking on processed sugary foods, your body will respond with lethargy and cravings. You will not be satisfied. Snack with healthy & organic choices and your body will be thanking you by providing you with vitality throughout each day. 

So many of you ask me about what I eat & snack on daily. 

I thought it would be fun to share my absolute 'go to' daily snacks. 
Please share your own because I love new ideas!
Note I am really into simple organic eating as well as minimal ingredients. 

*This mentality of simplistic whole food ingredients & approach to food is the offshoot
of my entire lifestyle as well as the SW Brand

Travel Snacks

Homemade trail mix is my best travel snack.

I love to make it myself because I pack a bag full of protein & antioxidant rich seeds, nuts & a little fruit. 

I typically combine various organic seeds/nuts such as pumpkin seeds, walnuts, sesame seeds & almonds. I add in goji berries and sprinkle hemp seeds & chia seeds before I shake up the bag.  And I throw this in my backpack.  It is a salty & sweet snack that provides my body exactly what it needs while on the road.

Bedtime Snacks

Salty Organic Raw Almonds are a delish bedtime snack!

I tend to crave sweet snacks at bedtime so, a bowl of homemade roasted almond butter & celery is so satisfying!

I also drink a cup of Honest Earth Sweet & Spicy tea every night before bed.

Morning Snacks

I love organic low glycemic fruit about an hour & a half after breakfast.
Blueberries & raspberries are my favorites!

If I am having a late lunch, I will eat an avocado stuffed w/ raw sauerkraut before lunch. Hey, don't knock it until you try it - it's sooo good.  I will sprinkle w/ Himalayan sea salt & Red Pepper Flakes. 

One other frequent snack of mine is a Vega One Shake w/ Almond Milk - so filling & satisfying!

Food for Thought: Simplistic Organics

For me personally, less is more. Less ingredients - less 'stuff' - less on my schedule - etc.  You are getting the trend here.  I think eating simply aids in our digestion and overall ease of mind/body/spirit in this stressful hectic world of endless choices.
