Once you start really understanding the connection between what we eat & self love, the transforming process takes off faster then you can imagine. Eating healthy is actually simple and yet, we have all complicated it. Food has become an idol of sorts. And our bodies are suffering. WE are suffering.
The connection we need to be making is all about love:
When we put junk in our bodies there is a ripple effect: We eat junk- we feel like junk-we look like junk-we treat ourselves like junk.
When we put organic healthy whole foods from the earth into our bodies, we also experience a ripple effect: We eat healthy - we feel healthy - we look healthy - our lives become healthy because we are treating our bodies with love.
The most simple way to get started is to add a colorful salad to every meal each day. And get creative in putting together salads! I love adding avocados, tomatoes, raw garlic, kraut, peppers and onions. Drizzle w/ olive oil, lemon, herbs of your choice, salt and pepper and there you go.
Start a new habit of adding a salad to every single meal. And even if your taste-buds aren't thrilled at first, I PROMISE you they will come around. Sooner then later, you will be craving healthy & hearty meals of crisp greens, veggies from the farmers market, etc.
Eating healthy is going to bring you self love! When you truly love yourself - I mean truly truly truly love yourself -you won't be willing to self inflict harm 'within' - you just won't. And stuffing yourself with processed foods is self inflicting harm, depression, anxiety, chronic illness and well, it's a slow death.
I used to eat so much processed foods and it made me feel terrible so, I am not here to judge you. I am here to inspire you to raise your standards of what LOVE - SELF LOVE - actually looks and feels like - as it pertains to the food you eat each day! You will be AMAZED at how much better you feel after you start eating whole foods, gluten free, organic, etc.
