Oils

“Our skin is our largest organ and in order for it to function at its best we must feed it with truly wholesome ingredients. My philosophy: If I refuse to put something in my body, I don’t want to put it on my body either.” - Rachel Winard, Soapwalla Chef

My skincare regimen is extremely simplistic as I only use pure essential oils on my skin that are infused with real whole food ingredients. This includes my facial skincare regimen as well.

My entire approach to skincare and wellness actually is about minimalism.  Increase quality, decrease quantity. I don't believe that we need 20 products for our skin rather one or two + a healthy diet rich in organic greens, healthy fats, nuts, seeds and low glycemic fruits, in order to glow from within.  Our skin literally breathes out what is happening on the inside of our bodies.  And I don't know if people really grasp that concept but we all need to. What is happening on the inside of our bodies - hearts - minds directly shows up on the outside including everything from what we eat, think & products we ingest via our skin.

I used to be one of those women who had so many skincare products....goodness.  And I had that 6-step 'regimen' of a toner, exfoliate, moisturizer, deep cream, etc.  And often my skin would still remain dry afterwards or just not breathing 'life'.  The skincare 'consultant' would inform me how I was on the wrong 'regimen' and I would purchase another 100+ dollars worth of products.  And the cycle continued.

I realized with time & experience that healthy glowing skin is a combination of how we feel about ourselves, what we eat daily and the quality of ingredients we 'ingest' via what we invite our skin to absorb.  And it's our thoughts and overall self image.  Trust me that your thoughts contribute to how your skin looks because the entire world of wellness created inside of you is all connected.

As for my skincare regimen, there are only four products that are always in my cabinet:
Soapwalla's Restorative Facial Serum - Echo Vie Body Beauty Oil  - Almond Glow - Jajoba Oil.

All of these oils are organic, 100% natural, filled with antioxidants and easily absorbed into the skin. Jajoba Oil, for example, mimics the skin's sebum which is fascinating. Echo Vie's Beauty Oil is naturally healing, loaded with antioxidants and Vitamin E.  All of the products I use are from sustainable and renewable sources as well.

Essential oils are so gentle on the skin yet beyond powerful as far as hydrating, detoxifying and providing direct healing.

I only use Soapwalla & Echo Vie products on my actual face.  Both are handmade with the highest quality of the most pure ingredients.  And I have to say that despite trialing easily over 50 products on my face, nothing makes my skin breathe like these two products.

I am not including these four products in the 'Holistic Apothecary' in order to sell them to you.  What I am sharing is what works for me.  The message I am intending on conveying to all of you is to realize that what you eat, put on your skin and how you speak to yourself daily is all about self love.  And when you truly love yourself, you desire to treat your body with the utmost respect & kindness.  Choosing products that will provide 'care' for your skin, is the best decision you can make.
