Hey there everyone! Several of you brought it to my attention that this past Friday's 'Bits & Bites' was removed from the site. Ya'll are really paying attention & keeping me on my toes! Merci!
I wanted to make up for that weekly post so, this week, we will do a quick 'bits & bites' today and then per usual, on Friday as well! First up, some really cool blog updates for you: This Thursday, Snapshots of Wellness was invited by Windy City Blogger Collective to highlight a new Bucktown business called 'Bucketfeet'. Bucketfeet is 100% artist designed shoes, 100% of the time. And you can read more about them here. Next Tuesday, Snapshots of Wellness is going 'behind the scenes' with Sprinkles Cupcakes on Walton St. in Chicago! I feel like Charlie who won the 'golden ticket'! I do! I am so stoked! I think that will be a fun & whimsical event! And I will be sharing every detail on my Instagram, Twitter & here on the blog. Finally, Snapshots of Wellness is dedicating ALL of July to raising awareness for Beagle Freedom Project! I will be working w/ local businesses in Chicago, well known faces of our city, friends & neighbors to spotlight this amazing grassroots organization while I attempt to get more & more people to buy environmentally sustainable & cruelty free products! This is a passionate project that gets my adrenaline flowing as I have wanted to do this project here in the city for a very long time! Now onto some personal updates! Yes, I am in Chicago now. And yes, my love affair with Austin, TX. is going strong! I miss the humidity there although, Chicago weather is pretty amaze. This past month & a half has been full of personal breakthroughs, a load of changes, new patterns and a great deal of determined effort via my health. I feel like I have walked through emotional & physical 'wellness bootcamp'. I am kind of shocked as to what has taken place internally & externally since working my tail off on the areas of my life that I needed to grow/change. I feel renewed. And I feel very 'different'. I personally welcome self growth although it is so deeply uncomfortable. Can I get an 'Amen' on that? Thank you. And as a word of motivation to you, you can change anything you want to - with God's help. If anyone ever tells you that you cannot change or 'that's not possible' orrrr 'change will take you yearssssss or months', well.....I would introduce them to God. Because if they believe that change cannot happen quickly, then they are underestimating The Lord. He can do more in one minute then we can do on our own in a year (that's a quote from somewhere but I don't know know where - if you do, share with me). Onward (smile).... Let's see, some of you wanted an update via my diet! Thanks! I hope your diets are going well too! Gosh, my diet is still going strong! I am still shrinking but at a much faster rate now. It's a lot of fun to feel really good & confident in our bodies. And for me, losing weight coupled with growing in areas I needed to emotionally, helped me to love myself even more. I am enjoying wearing shorts, jeans and dresses again (I have worn skirts every single day for a few years and I actually mean 'every single day'- my friends/fam will attest). Healing & getting fit are both so exhilarating once you have a really solid momentum building. I recommend it (0: And of course, it's summer now so, being at the beach, wearing flip flops, biking, hiking, kayaking.....seem to be on everyone's agenda! Enjoy every single drop of Vitamin D we get Chicago ((((0: Love to you all!!! Enjoy the sun!! Comments are closed.
