Hi there. Happy October! We made it. Fall is HERE. I will be brief today but I wanted to share this choreographed video to this encouraging song, The Sun is Rising. These lyrics speak to me which you can read here. This is for any of you are that are going through a challenging time in any capacity. And watch for the girl dancing in the very back. I think she will look familiar to many of you in the wellness community (0: Whenever my heart is broken, in the midst of breaking or I simply just reach a pivotal time in my life where I'm about to leap into a new chapter of my story, talking to God and realizing that He is holding me close, gives me the most comfort. I really love combining prayer w/ dance and music. It helps me personally heal. Movement with music that speaks about Him often reminds me that 'I am okay - it's going to be okay - all is well'. I think it's OK to admit that sometimes life is excruciatingly hard. I think Rick Warren said it well that 'Transformation is a process and as life happens there are tons of ups and downs. It's a journey of discovery - there are moments on mountaintops and moments of deep valleys of despair'. I have made so many mistakes in life but I -and you - have a Father who has given His Son so that we can experience true freedom - true salvation. We are forgiven. And we have so much grace. We just don't live in that freedom often and we need to - He is giving it to us. I think one of the keys to real transformation though is the 'actual change'. You don't want to be in a perpetual state of simply realizing truths and then repeating negative patterns. True transformation takes place when you are showing up differently in the world. And you cannot do that without God. Change is so hard sometimes but nothing is worse then staying where you are in a set of behaviors that you have outgrown - in a pattern that is unhealthy whether that be physical, emotional or spiritual. Do not ever believe that you cannot fully transform. You can. You can look back and hardly recognize yourself says Donald Miller whom I just appreciate so much! Trust God. And do the hard work. Let us be people that are kind - wise - dependable - authentic -consistent - at all times. God has such a greater calling for all of us but we have to be willing to stretch ourselves way way way beyond our comfort zones. We have to be willing to be deeply uncomfortable. And we have to be willing to not only forgive others & ourselves but leave the past in the past....and not 'wear' old beliefs in the now. Sure it's all easier said then done but you - me - all of us - we really need to do this. We just need to call out to Him and let Him lead. And He will. Enjoy the weekend and let's exchange whispers with God today. Comments are closed.
