A large part of true wellness is realizing that to deep dive into a healthy lifestyle, you need to start where you are. It seems obvious right? Sometimes we need a gentle reminder.
How many times have you wanted a relationship to go 'back to the way it used to be'? How many times do women & men struggling with illness want life to 'go back to the way it used to be'? Friendships - marriages - parenting - on and on.......and on. Well, this is the thing. You can't go back. And if you keep looking back? You can't start where you are. And if you keep clinging to 'what was', you can't effectively deal with what is. So, start exactly where you are today and let go of the rest. Freedom to make that choice is available to you right this minute. Freedom from the guilt - shame - frustration - heartache - longing - punishing yourself - etc. Step into the freedom. "Well it's not that easy Kelly'. Yes, it actually is that easy. It's just a choice that you aren't as familiar with possibly. So, make a new choice. You are making choices anyway by hanging onto what 'was' so just make a new choice. Try it. Eat a healthy meal today. Make a new friend. Pick up the phone to say 'I love you' to your parents. Tell your significant you are sorry and do the right thing. Just start today - where you are. And do not allow anyone to tell you otherwise. Rise on UP. Comments are closed.
