Hi everyone. I know the past two months have been fraught with computer challenges which has resulted in blogging delays. I appreciated all of your patience with that.
I am going to ask for all of your patience once again. SW will be on hiatus as I tend to a lot going on in my personal life. I am not sure when I will be back to create content as I will be traveling to Seattle, WA. indefinitely as well as focusing on other projects that - due to HIPPA guidelines - I am not legally allowed to discuss via social media. It's a bummer too b/c I wish I could share so much about it all with you. I will share that all of my time will be focused on health - wellness - and working w/ children advocacy in a hospital setting.
So, what thoughts do I want to share today.....hmmm. I want to stress the importance of community. You have heard me talk about community....sooo much. I am referring to the numerous blog posts about the process of change & community. While some of you have wanted me to stop talking about this and get back to chatting about health -recipes - food - I stuck w/ this 'theme' via the blog posts. And I did that for a reason.......
In order to build sustainability via organic food/farming or otherwise, we need community. In order to truly change your lifestyle via health or otherwise, let me tell ya.....you need community. Community is the cornerstone to change - Community is the cornerstone to health & healing. And it's something that I want the Snapshots of Wellness brand to emphasis. So, I have. Repeatedly. When I come back from this hiatus, I will move into discussing topics via your requests.
If you look at every successful outcome via a wide spectrum of 'life challenges & changes' - people have only reached mountaintops with help from community: Every person who has healed from chronic illness did so with the aid of community - every conference or event that has been a splash success did so with multiple people on board - every single third world country that is gaining aid via food - educational opportunities - etc. is due to a community effort. The bottom line, we are not meant to live this life 'solo'. We need one another. It's the way that God made us.
The key is discerning who the right community is to surround yourself with. And that requires a great deal of God's help via prayer and as mentioned, discernment.
I can say that I would absolutely never be where I am today without the love & wise counsel of just amazing community. And I am deeply grateful.
Enjoy the remainder of the Fall season. And be well.
