Snapshots of Wellness is back in Chicago! And headed to the Gold Coast today to go behind the scenes with Sprinkles Cupcakes. This, my friends, is a Willy Wonka moment for me! Two years ago, I added to my bucket list, 'bake in the kitchen of Sprinkles cupcakes'. This is right along w/ other bucket list goals of going to South Africa, petting an elephant, etc. This opportunity would not have crossed my desk without Windy City Blogger Collective! I presented this idea of me going 'behind the scenes' to Windy City Blogger Collective who has teamed with Sprinkles in the past, they put me in touch with Sprinkles PR Team and the result was 'Let's do it'! Being a member of the collective has proven to be invaluable in creating opportunities for writers, bloggers and creating community amongst the artistic & health minded talent in Chicago! Now, I do not condone - for myself - going and eating processed sugar anymore however, there are exceptions and baby, this is one of them. And I don't personally even know the ingredients of Sprinkles cupcakes but I am about to! I am going to have a bite or two of a cupcake but, it's not really about eating the cupcakes for me, it's about the experience. Well, it actually is about eating the Vegan Red Velvet Cupcake...who am I kidding! For me, the experience of baking has always been cathartic. And when Sprinkles says 'YES' to me learning how to bake their cupcakes, perfect the 'Sprinkles frosting' technique and creating my own sundaes?!? You say YES! I also think Candace Nelson happens to be absolutely brilliant via her business endeavors so, I am going to be learning about the entire Sprinkles corporation. So, expect to go behind the scenes along side of me vicariously as I will be posting the entire whimsical experience afterwards in a blog post right here! Sometimes in life, you have to just have plain ole childlike fun. And for me, this is one of those times! Here-we-go! Comments are closed.
