I used to drink about 5-6 large orange gatorades every -single - day. I don't want to even calculate the amount of sugar that I was consuming. It's just torture to my body...torture. Ugh.
Now that I have given up sugared sports drinks entirely, I drink only water & tea. And that's it. Flavoring your water is SO incredibly delicious. Have you tried that? I now do it all of the time and it ignited this new habit of drinking more than 8 glasses of water a day! If you know me, this is hard to believe. And once my body started absorbing all of the much needed hydration, I started drinking plain ole water by the gallon. I consume so much water now. It was a healthy shift via my health & further fueled my weight loss. My favorite flavored water is with cucumbers! And I am also a big fan of lemon water. If it is really hot out (in Austin, TX., the weather is like the jungle), I even love an occasional watermelon cubed water. Get creative & have fun w/ it. Add basil, blueberries, grapefruit, etc. Being healthy doesn't have to be hard and a lot of 'swaps' you make are so inexpensive. Quench your thirst in a way that your body will thank you for!
